Random Pictures!

I was "trapped" on the couch today for a little over an hour. It started with Tessa falling asleep in my arms, then Samantha came and curled up next to me. Next thing I knew, she too was out cold and soon enough so were my legs!! It was nice though holding both my sleeping girls. Good thing Daddy got home in time to snap this picture!

I'm now officially addicted to these headbands and bows. I just think they are so cute (it doesn't hurt that the model is so stinkin' cute too!)

Me and my girls!

This is the first picture of me with both girls where we are ALL looking at the camera!! We took a "girls only" bath tonight. It was really Tessa's first bath. She enjoyed floating on her back and Samantha enjoyed rinsing Tessa's hair with a squirt bottle. It was a great time!

Just for fun...

As long as the sun is out, I think Tessa will be making daily visits to the swing out back. She just loves it and is totally at peace when swinging.

This is Sophie, our pug. We love her but she loves her toys.

Samantha was a little sick today with a slight fever, runny nose and a cough. She stayed in her pajamas and messy morning hair, but played a little out back when Tessa was swinging. I just love this picture of her. The little red spot on her nose is jello. All sick kids need jello, right? :)

Tessa Swings!

Today was Tessa's first time in the swing in our backyard. As you can see from her face, she loved it! It's so nice that Spring is coming and we can spend more time outside. I also love that Tessa can do more and more these days. I can't wait until both our girls are running around together!!

Messy hair but still so pretty!

Those blue eyes still get me!

So serious, Samantha!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is Tessa's first St. Patrick's Day! She looked cute as a button in her Irish get-up. Samantha was in school today and she also dressed up, but did not want to pose for the camera. I'm telling you... getting pictures of the girls together is proving to be very difficult. We hope you all had a lucky day!!

Our Beautiful Girls!

Samantha Grace: 2y 10m on 3/4/2009
Tessa Noel: 3 months on 3/3/2009

What we've been up to...

We've been busy the past few weeks. Here's a breakdown of what we've been doing:

2/28/2009: (morning) Samantha had her 1st dance class ever. The first half was a success. She loved the ballet. But when it came time to change into tap shoes, she wasn't so sure of it. We ended up watching the other girls in class during the tap half of the class.

2/28/2009: Dad celebrated his 70th birthday! Happy Birthday Dad! Greg and Mike threw him a really nice dinner party at their house in Long Beach. Samantha had a blast playing with Lolita and her little doggy toys. Tessa ate and slept most of the time. We had a lot of fun being with the family!

3/3/2009: Tessa celebrated 3 months! I can't believe it's been 3+ months now since she joined our family. Having her is the completion of our little Burt bunch. We can't imagine life now without both our girls. Happy 3 months Tessa Noel!

3/6/2009: Our good friends, The Maddux Family, welcomed their new daughter Saige Joanne into their family. She was 8 lbs. 11 oz. and just a bundle of beautiful. Congratulations to Ron, Tara and big brother Sawyer!!

3/8/2009: We turned the clocks ahead 1 hour and Kristina is still recovering. Waking up in the dark is no fun at all!!

3/9/2009: Kristina and Samantha had a special day at Disneyland alone. It was a great time for the both of us and I look forward to taking her again in the future.

3/11/2009: Our friends Amy, Ella and Sarah Johansson and Tammy, Lindsey and Megan Studt came over to play. It was a fun - and very loud - playdate. We love the Johansson and Studt girls!

3/12/2009: We had a closet organizer installed in the girls' bedroom. Now, mommy has lots of places to hang and fold things!
